Mend Eccles Diamond Blockage Bathroom Water

whats wrong with my bathroom taps?

I have an eccles diamond 1993 2 birth end bathroom,the bathroom taps have hardly any water coming from them,the hot one when turned on full,just stops suddenly,the cold just trickles,but I have taken the pipe off the taps to check the flow which is very good from both pipes,and are hard to stop the flow with a thumb over the end,which points to a blockage in the taps,but they are free from any obstructions,gunk etc,i have blown through them,and i must say its not easy,its as if the valve/washer does not lift high enough,yet thats all the taps will open,any ideas???

If its not the micro switch renew the taps buddy false economy trying to repair them.EBay the place to look .

Probably the easiest troubleshoot seeing as you can obviously get at the pipes, would be to get a tap that you know is ok and remove one pipe and attach it to the tap. If it flows freely then your taps need changing.

I’m confused. I could be the taps micro switches faulty, however I’m confused as to how you get a water flow from pipes when disconnected from the taps unless you have the taps in ON position or you have a water pressure regulator valve [12volt] in the cold pipe just in front of the inlet inside the caravan. Only a guess this may be why you get a flow from the pipes it senses pressure change and switches on the pump in the barrel. Take pipes off again while someone listens to the pump in the barrel see if it comes on. If it does and the taps are OFF then this, repeating myself, means a micro switch fault in the taps.
