Mend AEG 50730 Basically Cycle Water

AEG Dishwasher Favorit 50730?

Hi My dishwasher basically cuts out in the middle of the cycle. After heating the water up and sucessfully washing for a while there is what sounds like a small explosion and the the power supply trips out (it's on a 16a RCB feed). I've tried cleaning the thing out but it doesn't look dirty and I've used some propietary cleaner but the problem persists. Any ideas?
