what is E20 error code on zanussi washing machine?
I know that E40 is when you try to activate a programme and the door is open, but my washing machine has just stopped half way through the final spin of the programme and started bleeping constantly when I've gone to it it is showing the error code E20. The model is a Zanussi ZWF 1437w
E20 is blocked filter. I have been having the same error messages over the past 2 days. On a whim i unscrewed and removed the filter, and it was horribly blocked up. Removed all of the gunk, and et voila. It is working fine

I have the same problem with my Zanussi. I've removed the white filter handle in an effort to access the pump and impeller but there's a bright yellow plug of plastic that won't budge between the filter handle and the pump.
Does it unscrew or should I continue with my efforts to prise it out with a screwdriver?

E20 is a blocked filter/no drain issue.empty the filter bottom right.Also can be because something has jammed in the drain pump impellor.once filter has been removed shine a torch in to the filter housing and with a long screwdriver make sure the impellor rotates.if everything is ok then could be a blocked drain hose,blocked bottom tub hose,faulty drain pump or faulty pcb
