i moved into my house 5months ago(rented) and the boiler has a old coca cola bottle attached to a pipe witch fills with water when full we have to empty an attatch the bottle back to the pipe clearly this is not normal but is it dangerous if so what should i do?
sounds like its there using it as a drain for the prv pipe or the condensate pipe its more a hindrance then danger but any gas safe plumber may switch the boiler of as it does not meet the regs most likely the pipe needs to go to the drain get a plumber in for a quotes they tell u what the problem but its the landlords duty to make sure the boiler is up to scratch

In the UK it is illegal to rent a property without gas appliance service certificates especially central heating boilers. Contact Citizens advice on who to complain to if the landlord/agent does nothing to rectify this.

Do you know when it was last serviced?.Has anyone left a sticker on it?.Ask your landlord to get it sorted.
