Goodmans tv is on standby and won't switch on - it is flashing intermitent blue stand by light i've done the plug out and wait thing but still nothing what parst would i need to repair?

i was stuck, until i took the back of the tv off and noticed a loose brown wire on the on/off switch. i got my mate Andy to solder it back on and bobs your uncle. babestation 24/7
