CANDY/Why are the 90 min and the stain light flashing?

My washing machine is flashing two lights on and off four times ( 90 min and stain vanish ) every time i try to put it on a wash, can someone please help me. I would like to hear from you if you have experienced these problems also ..... am i on my own with this problem. Previous to this happening the selection of the wash cycle wouldn't always light up but would if you turned it off and on again...... Help!!!!
