Mend Stihl 025 Chainsaw Spark Plug

How to test coil on Stihl chain saw?

I have a 025 Stihl chain saw that will not start. I can hold on to the spark plug and do not feel any spark. How do I test the coil. I check the gap and it is .012 inches.

If you have disconnected the wire from the coil to the switch to eliminate these two items and it still does not spark, then there is little point testing it to tell you what you already know, replace it
