how can I get my driver side electric window out?

I cant get it to go up or down

You do not mention the car make or model - on my Golf the cables of the winding gear snapped - access was from the inside - I had first to remove the interior trim panel. I used the services of a mobile car locksmith - £50 parts £50 labour.
