Mend Would Like Repaired

I would like to know if the cord can be repaired?

The alarm system in my apartment is installed in the ceiling and I did not know it at the time.It was so loud and I did not know what to do, so I cut the cord and it was still making a lot of noise. I thought this would stop the alarm but I was wrong. At this point I do not know what to do, this is a very old system.

it could have been a nurse call point that you cut the cord off,if it had been a 240v one,you would most certainly know about it,

Lesson one, cutting cables should and usually does not mean the alarm will stop.
The sooner JP realised this the better.
You can try and rewire the cable and then enter your code and reset the system, but do you know what you cut? Is it mains or Low Voltage?

By all means try if not get an engineer in!
