how to repair a GHT-22 weedeater, it keeps cutting off?

si. fuel line & filter. the line also acts as a seal at the top of the tank entry, so get proper line, cut a diagional at the end of line then feed it in the tank a long nose pliar to pull the line into the tank. --been there- and another problem cropped up. flooding, the tank would siphon, enpty the tank into the piston chamber, & create a fuel lock. why.

the motor seperated entirely from the shaft. It runs
great there is just no turning at the bottom.

Check the o-ring on the gas cap. After a long while, it will begin to crack and allow air in the line and later, leak fuel.

1. clean/replace fuel filter (in tank, on bottom) on hose that goes direct from tank to carb
2. clean carb w/carb cleaner

Replace the fuel line. That plastic only lasts a few years before letting go.

Well I have the same problem and have it apart right now...here's what is wrong with mine...the fuel lines are restricted, soft, and cracked at the in-tank filter. If you remove the four screws on the left side of the handle/trigger mechanism, you'll see where the fuel lines enter the tank. Right there is where my biggest problem is. The lines are being pinched by the bottom of the handle, which has a couple of grooves in it to, supposedly, allow the lines to exit the tank and go on to the carburetor and primer bulb. Also, when I fished the lines out of the tank through the filler cap, the filter fell off in my hand and the end of the tubing crumbled and split. Bad design, I think. I'm going to get new fuel line and try to figure out a way to keep them from being pinched where they exit the tank and go through the handle. Kevin
