The hard part will be finding a gas line small enough.
The hose that broke lets any extra gas that goes to the carb return to the tank. When you pump the little plastic button before starting the weed eater, any extra fuel goes back into the tank via the line that broke.
Here we go:
1) Empty the gas tank
2) Reach into the gas tank with a pair of needle nose(long nose) pliers and pull out the little plastic nipple that's right next to the fuel line that goes to the filter (It'll be very short and may even look like it's coming out of the fuel tank housing). Keep this piece you'll use it with the new fuel line.
3) Pull the fuel line out from the gas tank by pulling on whatever is left of the original line. Don't pull it into the fuel tank, pull it from the top of the handle away from the tank.
4) Take this with you when you buy a foot of new line so you get the right size.
5) Poke it through the hole you pulled the old one from and push enough through so you can grab the end with the pliers and pull it out far enough to stick the plastic nipple back in.
6) Push the other end onto the metal nipple where the plastic push bulb is cutting it shorter as needed. (Since this hose only returns surplus fuel, all it needs to do is to end up in the tank) and you're done!
