Mend Mio 269 Fully Charged Unit

how can i fix my mio 269?

i have just replaced the baterry on my mio 269 but though the battery is fully charged the unit will not switch on. the on /off switch seems ok and i have tried the reset button to no avail.i wonder if it is the small round baterrythat is at fault.
