Hotpoint WML 740?

Hi, have had my washing machine for just under 2 years and it has just started with a problem. The cycle does not finish and carries on and on. Also water has leaked onto the floor. It will let me drain out the water and then put it on spin but then next time the same problem happens again. It seems to be making a noise that we didnt notice previously when on cycle. Can anyone help? Have free parts cover but Hotpoint want £105 to turn up and look at it.
