alarm goes off by it self?

our house alarm keeps setting off when were at home we just have to put in the code an that keeps the motion detectors from going off unless a door or window is opened but now our alarm goes off on its on like maybe one of the motion detectors are messed up we put a new battery in it but it still keeps beeping we like to keep it set at night when were asleep or one of us is home alone
