Mend Ford KA Need New Clutch

do I need a new clutch?

my 2003 ford KA makes a noise when I depress the clutch completely down. Ive been told that the clutch plate is catching on the fly wheel, will the noise stop if I adjust the peddle or do I need a new clutch.
