Mend Delta Sewing Machine Jamming Bobbin

The Boobin is loose and gathering cotton up?

My delta sewing machine keeps gathering too much cotton and jamming in the bobbin.Took out bobbin and reseated it corectly but to no avail.Can you advise?

Hello Wyn,
Start at the beginning, thread the machine and make sure the presser foot is up, top tension about 4 or 5, bobbin turning anti clockwise in the bobbin case, pull the thread through the bobbin case so there is slight resistence, if it is too tight turn the screrw on the bobbin case anti clockwise about a quarter of a turn at a time and test sew.

By "Gathering too much cotton" do you mean you have loops underneath ? Does the machine sound clunky & jam after only a few stitches or does it sew a while before jamming ?
