how do i fix my screen size?

Is the image to small and don't fill the monitor?
For this, you don't need to touch your keyboard nor your mouse.

Check on the monitor for it's controls. Use the buttons on the front of the monitor, under the screen and, normaly, to the left of it's power button. Bring the monitor's menu.
Navigate to size and position controlls and adjust as needed untill the image exactly cover all of the display area.
