Have bleach ring marks on the kitchen work top, it is wood effect?

Is there any way to repair without replacing?
I have heard about a crayon to cover stains on wood, is this any good and where do they stock them?
The style is the old fashioned kitchen design.
Dont know details just that its 10 years old.
We rent our house so would like to fix it if possible
