If you are putting oil into the engine wuthout spilling it it should not come out!
If it does come out it's leaking.
Seems as if the oil leak is from another area other than the sump. Suggest the cars put on a ramp following top up, leave the engine running and look under the car. If the leak is as bad as you say should be easy to find where the leak is.
