can i disable pa, the alarm goes off randomly when unset, and i don't want to pay a zillion quid just to get someone to do something i might be able to do myself

access control panel,look pa connections(2)disconnect the two wires replace with a link(a single piece of wire connecting into the two terminals.

By the way, PA buttons are designed to work 24/7, they are "always on"

PA buttons do not 'go off' on their own.

The problem will be a damaged cable or a bad joint somewhere, NOT the PA.

Spend the money & get someone in & keep the PA, you never know when it might be needed, think about it.
