How do I fix chips in old French Flora chinaware?

What should I use to fix chips in edges of blue and white Creil Flora plates, made around 1900 in France? And what is the best paint to use to match the original pattern? These are purely decorative items not for everyday use, so repairs will not need to be too robust, I just want them to look good hanging on the wall.
