The mower will only work with the lid above the waste collection basket open? It should only work with the lid closed, but will not start with the lid in this position.

Replace the micro switch assembly in the lower hood, get the product no. from the silver rating plate and i will find the spare part no. for you, parts can be ordered direct from Flymo by credit card.
