White knight 312 drum stopped spinning burning smell?

Using a cotton bud to activate the latch switch I turn the drum and it continued to spin....obviously the starter solenoid.

Replacement part solenoid bought off eBay for just over £3 inc p+p.

I found the easiest way to gain access to the solenoid was removing the cardboard base (four screws and washers).

Thanks for all the other advice from various sites to help me fix my tumble dryer and the money I saved from buying a new one :)
