washing machine problem?

Hotpoint Aquarius WF740. Just moved house and washer plumbed in again - have put a load of washing on and it seemed to have worked, although sounded a bit funny. Now coming up with F and a number and trying to get it to spin or anything to open door but it just sits with motor running
