LCD TV won't turn on?

Tecknika LCD191D TV about 3 yrs old but not set up during warranty period. I had only been using it a while when the rocker on/of switch failed but that didn't really matter as the mains socket/switch is easily accessible. However, today I switched off "at the wall" and about two hours later when I tried to switch on again, all I get is a red flashing light at the indicator LED. The central on/standby button won't start it either. Any help/ comments please.
