Kenmore Ultra Wash "lock" light stuck?

I can't get the lock light to stop blinking on my dishwasher. We rent and the washer came with the place and it's probably older. I have read some other posts. Inside the machine it says to hold the "no heat/dry" button down for 4 seconds. That didn't work. Neither did 10 seconds....or 20. When I press the the "cancel" button then the lock and cancel buttons blink together until I open the door and re-close it...then just the lock button again. I have tried the breakers for the house....still nothing.

any suggestions? This has never happened and I don't recall ever locking it in the first place.
