Mend Ford Mondeo Diesel Engine Valves

over revving mondeo diesel?

i have a 1997 1.8td mondeo estate every so often when i stop in traffic the engine races & you can hear the valves bounce! .i have replaced the fuel filter,air filter&all of the fuel leak off return pipes.if you turn the engine off it starts immediately & idles ok , untill the next time you stop. please any advice would be welcome

sounds like turbo is on its way out its syphoning engine oil and putting it through the inlet.

may be oil entering inlet manifold somehow, either from turbo seals,engine oil level too high,are just a couple of things.
