Kettle can't auto-off?

My electric kettle can't auto-off when i reaches the boiling point.
Brand : Elba
Model : EK-4807 (I)

Does it means the thermostat is out of order?

It means that the automatic switch-off switch is out of order - time for a new kettle.

Kettles do not have heat regulating thermostats - the water boiling is the heat control. Steam activates the auto switch.
