Mend Car Locking Unlock

Central Locking Problem?

When i press to unlock the car the drivers side goes up and down quickly a few times then shuts down and the car remains locked so i am having to open the car using the key. There is no problem when locking the car....has anyone any advise on what the prblem may be?
