central locking on 1996 mk3 5dr astra has jammed on?
yesterday when i went to the car the drivers door lock would not go passed vertical and unlock the central locking. all doors are locked shut!!
to get in i have to use the key in the boot lid and enter through the boot. as the doors are all locked it is not possible to get the trim panel off to service the lock barrel assembly
having managed to get the driver's door open. we have found that the lock mechanism is what is jamming. this effects the central locking because the driver's door is the primary lock. we have disabled the central locking and all doors have been locked manually. the drivers door is left locked and i am entering the car from the passenger side until i can fit a new lock.

Have you tried some wd40 and also try your spare key if your original is worn.
