central locking on 1996 mk3 5dr astra has jammed on?

having managed to get the driver's door open. we have found that the lock mechanism is what is jamming. this effects the central locking because the driver's door is the primary lock. we have disabled the central locking and all doors have been locked manually. the drivers door is left locked and i am entering the car from the passenger side until i can fit a new lock.

Have you tried some wd40 and also try your spare key if your original is worn.
