how can i fix my Rover 414?

check spark plugs if old replace check dist cap and rotor arm for wear check resistance of all ht leads using ohm meter or just replace they are not expensive if still has misfire get engine compressions checked i assume you are using correct oil 10/40 as if not can effect hydraulic valve lifters
