How do I access the armature-magneto on the B&S 31p777-0602-e2 engine?
The spark plug wire from the magento is damaged, the only choice is replace the it. What steps are required to access the old magneto? What parts do I need inaddition to the armature-magneto?
remove gas tank and pulley/cover, , for a briggs and stratton the gap is 11(left) 12(right) with feeler gauges, complete magneto will cost about 25-30 dollars

You can buy repair leads if the damage is not too close to the ignition unit, this will be a far cheaper option than replace the unit
