Mend John Deere L120 Lawn Engine Fuel Gas

How can i fix my John Deere L120?

My JD L120 has a 22hp Briggs engine and it ran out of gas. I put more in it and now it will only run for about 5 minutes and cut off. It acts like that it is running out of gas again. I cleaned the carburetor and found a small piece of trash. I also replaced the vacuum hose on the fuel pump, it had a crack in it. Could it be my electronic part on the bottom of carburetor bowl?

It could be, this is an after fire solinoid, you can test it, remove it from the bottom of the carb, switch the ignition on and observe the pin in the centre, once 12 volts are applied the pin should drop to the base of the nut if it is working correctly
