Mend VAX Vax Cleaner Stopped

My VAX carpet cleaner has developed a fault?

My VAX carpet cleaners brushes have stopped rotating and refuses to suck up the dirty water. The motor is still working (although a different noise has developed) and the belt is still intact. Any ideas ?
