Where to Buy Ideal Standard Cistern Spares in Singapore?

Based on the advice from MC in 2011 (over 7 years ago) I went to Kin Siang Hardware at Kelentan Road. Found it quite easily and went inside. The guy was quite helpful and recommended replacing the rubber seal for the flushing part, which i had brought into the shop. He fitted the seal for me and was quite careful to do a good job. I fitted it back into the cistern and the leak stopped. $10 for the rubber seal. A lot cheaper than calling out a plumber to fix it for me, so I'm glad that I went to that hardware store.

I just went to any random hardware shop and they taught me how to fix the cistern using generic brands parts. I fixed the cistern flushing system for under $25 and took only 30mins.

The replacement part is simpler and european made, moreover i can adjust the water level the system should refill.

this is when i found out that we don't really need to obtain the same brand and that cisterns are made to standard specifications.

Please do not go to Ideal Bathroom to get your spare parts or any products, the sales service is bad. Both sales persons are unfriendly and rude. Especially one of them, Jane Tan.

My parents' home (condo) is using this brand toilet, as it was provided by the developer when we purchase the house. After 5 years, the wear and tear started and our toliets starts to leak continuously after every flush. We went to the outlet hoping to be able to get their product spare parts there, as their product's structure are quite different from the rest of the normal brands.

At the outlet, we enquire the sales girl about the stock availability of the spare parts, but this lady (Jane) replied rudely and in a shouting manner saying"Our products discountinue after 2 years and we do not carry any spare parts at all. You should not come to us for spare parts, you should go to your management office to ask for their service instead!" When we probe further, is there any other retail outlets that carry their products and spare parts, she replied, "There is no other outlet, we are the one and only as well as the headquarter here, if you really want to change it, you need to change the whole toilet bowl system!"

In the end, we manage to get the parts at Kelantan Road. The man who was selliing the parts told us to bring home and try after the replacement he has done for us and ask us to bring back if the replacement does not work. He even told us to tried it first before we buy the spare parts for the 2nd toliet. The better solution would be to bring the parts to let him help us do the replacement.

After we tried, the leaking has stopped.

This is a good service which all consumers are expecting and not like the one at Balestier which the 3 of us experienced.
