vw sharan not starting?

i have been having problems with starting my vw sharan tdi 03 plate. it is currently turning over but not fireing. i used to solve this problem by disconnecting my battery for about 10 minutes, reconnecting it , and this would solve it. but i have been trying to do this but it is still not fireing
