How can I fix my Bosch SHX46A Dishwasher?

I have a Bosch shx46A unit. It was left partially filled for 2 weeks. When I returned and ran a cancel drain cycle, it seemed to work fine for the next cycle, then when I next turned the power on, the drain motor would run continuously (even with the door open). Following some forum advice, I pulled the washer out, tilted at 25 degrees and cleaned up a puddle of water which spilled out. When I turned the power on, voila, no more drain motor. But when I selected a cycle and closed the door, the unit does not fill. Sound is similar but not exactly the same as the drain motor which ran with the door open. Float switch is no longer triggered.
