How do I mend my Reebok cross trainer?

I have a Reebook cross trainer, the LCD screen don't light up ,but I can hear the buttons working when a push them on ?

belts on all cross trainers can be temperamental, and for novice not easy to put on without loosing finger or two!!! my advice is if your not sure what your doing try find someone mechanically minded. I made a tool to assist in putting belts back on these machines after struggling my first attempt.in general once the belt has come off once it seems it keeps on happening .
