Low water pressure and no hot water on a Worcester 28i Junior?

Intermittent problem whereby the water pressure is weak and trickles out of both hot and cold taps, however the cold feed from the water mains has good pressure. The only way to get any hot water is to turn on the central heating and although it trickles out it is hot? The problem sorted itself out for two days and then failed again...HELP!!!
