How can I fix my Homelite 25 cc weed wacker?

My Homelite weed wacker starts and runs just fine...but as soon as I engage a blade of grass it stops revolving. The least resistance prevents the string housing and extended sting from turning...yet the motor is still revving. How can I fix this?
