faulty miele w865 washing machine?

I select the programme setting and start the wash cycle. It does two or three turns; water fills in. The washer then stops. Both the "Soak pre-wash" and "anti-crease/Finsh" then flash simultaneously.
I have been told that the control module has failed? Is this right or is there another faullt which can be put right?
Can the fault be programmed away by a miele engineer so washer works again?
Please help.
