what does the service light look like on my ford ka?

There is no service light as such, on Ka's after 1997 but before 2001 there was a "CAT" warning light that looks like an exhaust silencer with wavy lines above it, after 2001 the symbol changed to the shape of an engine with a lightning flash in the centre, both warning lights indicate the same thing, that the ECU has detected a fault and you need to connect it to a diagnostic code reader to find the fault, But there is no warning light to tell you when a normal service is due, the very latest Ka's 2009 & on might have one but I've not had to deal with one of them yet!!
