how to remove the cabinet on the kenmore 90 series washer?

If this is a direct drive washer made by Whirlpool and you have the control panel off already there should be 2 metal clips that were under the panel. Stick a straight screwdriver in them and push down to release the clips. Also make sure you unplug the lid switch connector that was under the panel. Stand in front of the washer and grab ahold of the cabinet. Pull the whole cabinet toward you to remove it, one piece. Hope this helps.

The Whole top should be hindged to the back of the washer .You should be able to open it up at the seam about an 1' down from the top from the top front or sides using a screwdriver
