how can i remove a fiat cinquecentos rev limiter?

I race a Fiat Cinquecento (899cc) and am trying to remove the rev limiter, but i have wired in a rev counter into the fiat, and i can not see a way of desconecting the rev limiter, and still having a rev counter. Any help? Please?

for the racing i do, i can't touch the ECU. So we are trying to find a way for doing it without going into it.

doesnt the engine ecu cut the ignition at a certain revs? you will probably have to take it to an ecu specialists and re-map it.
