Mend Creda 42206 Cooker Electric Hotplate

Electric ceramic hobs?

The single circuit 1200W hob on the Creda 42206 will not turn off. Unless turned off at the wall switch it remains on full power: turned on again at the wall switch it returns to full power. Is this a hob control switch or hot plate problem?
