how to troubleshoot a lost channel on directv dish?
CNN channel no longer received..get message looking for signal on sat1 771. FX channel same thing..all others come in clear..How can I determine if the dish is broken or could it really just be an alignment issue?
the last suggestion didn't work..I have HD..the special dish etc... could it be alignment? Don't want to buy the aligner if not needed..could one signal be lost and not others?

if all other channells are comeing in " then your dish is fine, try rescanning for the missing channels cnn might have moved, up or down the band , worth a try , you might find it , im sure some expert on this web page will give us all the answer,,,
