hi there ive seen most of your ads and you have helped many of people. I was wondering if you could help me with my gilera dna 50 i took off my air box 2 days ago and reved it some and put it back on and went and done the same thing again and put it back on and went out on my bike for a ride and was going like 30mph tops and very slow going in mid range any help please!!
right so you didnt take the airbox off just the cover, that right? as long as you put your sponge back in correctly, there is nothing to stop it running exactly the way it was unless it has a hole in it or something got sucked in to the carb! is this possible

I have a '57 plate gilera dna 50, has not been modified in any way/derstricted, and it has started to go faster.
It will now hit 40-45 mph on the flat.
Any suggestions as I am only 16 therefore it needs to be restricted to 30

right well if you can see the airox i have olny screwed off 6 bolts of the side and once off there is a piece of sponge. i took the sponge out and then turned the ignition on and started it up for a min or 2 just reving it on the stand then put back on. went out on me bike and was very slow dont know what was the problem there ?? and dont know if it runs better with it off that might like bugger the engine and carb up wont it??

does it run worse with the airbox off or better?.as m says they dont like the brass plate being pulled out of the carb it upsets the running of it so if you have put it back in.

when you took of your airbox, did you take out the gold disc? if you left it out it needs to go back in! why did you take it off?
