hotpoint aquaris 1100 wont do anything?

hi i have a hotpoint aquaris 1100 been working fine till today i put it on the normal program that i normaly do and it started filling then stopped at that and would not go no further so i notched it forward on the dial a little and it started filling again and carried on till it was leaking out the door so put it on to drain which it did but it wont do anything else!
checked the belt which is all fine any ideas what else it could be?
