how can i fix my vauxall vectra?

This is a very common problem on these. The culprit is usually the motor/gear mechanism that operates the hot/cold flap. if you remove the passenger glove box, you will be able to see it on the side of the heater box. If you operate the hot/cold knob you may hear it clicking & you may be able to push it to the cold position at the same time. You will most likely have to renew the motor actuator for a more permanent solution, if you do renew it, take it off & take it with you,as there are 3 other actuator that look very similar & they cost somewhere in the region of about £100.
