battery draining overnight on s reg 1600 deisel ford?

battery tested ok and just charged.i was told it might be the eart wire,could that be ?
.if so where and what can i do.i have located and cleaned a wire from battery to wing ???is that it?
if not what else can it be please

make sure nothing is left on,rear interior lights,things like that,disconnect one battery lead put testmeter onto amps,connect between lead and battery,take note of reading,should read very little,big jump in amps means something is draining battery
